The Circus Hotel enjoys a superb location in Berlin, with easy access to public transport like the U-bahn. The rooms are spacious, some featuring a desk and corner seat, and the hotel boasts a nice courtyard as well as a cool roof deck with a bar. Some guests have noted that the 'eco-friendly' air conditioning can be insufficient during warmer months. Breakfast can be enjoyed at the Circus hostel across the street.

A Decent Stay

friendly staffcompetent staffineffective air conditioningwarm room
I also liked that they ensured I could stay in the same room even with two independent reservations.
The hotel advertises having air conditioning, but it was not the usual kind that blows cool air. Instead, there was an "eco-friendly" air conditioner, which didn't seem effective. (It was quite warm in my room).

mixed feelings due to room issues

ineffective air conditioninginconvenient light switches
I was quite disappointed with the room setup. the 'eco-friendly' air conditioning barely. the staff provided a fan, but that was not enough to combat the heat. also, there was a strange issue with the light switches near the bed. One needed to be on for the power outlet to work, it was inconvenient.

the noise was just awful!!! trams screamed by on the street all night. it sounded like tanks. even with the windows closed, i could hear everything. i barely slept, and i wanted to explore the city. i had to open the windows because the room was stuffy, but , made the noise even worse! it was a frustrating experience.
